Key Items We Analyze

Some of the key things we analyze during tax planning include filing status and exemptions, employment income and related deductions, investments and retirement plans, itemized deductions, tax credits, alternative minimum tax (AMT), and business income and related deductions and credits. By studying the tax impact of these items and customizing a long-term strategy unique to your circumstances, we can ensure that your future taxes are minimized.

How It Works

The purpose of tax planning is to arrange your financial affairs in order to minimize your tax liabilities. This is accomplished by putting together a plan to reduce taxable income, maximize tax deductions, take advantage of all available tax credits, and align your financial activities so as to benefit from ever-changing tax laws.

Here is how our tax planning process works:

Complete the Request for Services form.
Submit a complete set of tax returns for at least two years (1040). For existing clients: we have your tax returns; simply complete the Request for Services form. For new clients: send your tax returns to taxdocs@taxcpadirect.com or fax them to 925.226.4032.
  * At this point, we will perform a comprehensive diagnostics to identify the areas with significant planning opportunities and develop recommendations.
Schedule a phone call to discuss our findings and recommendations. This is also an opportunities to ask questions and express any of your concerns.
Conclude your tax planning session by reviewing the final report outlining our findings and recommendations.
